My Vision
A Bible for the Muslim Tat
The Muslim Tat are a respected minority in Eurasia, with some 25,000 living in country and 10,000 additional Muslim Tat living in neighboring countries. Over 75% of Muslim Tat adults consider it their first language.
When Bibles International first met the Muslim Tat, they were translating the Bible into their language and had printed several Scripture portions already. They received good feedback from both Christians and Muslims who had received copies and liked having Holy Scriptures in their language.
Unfortunately, the project stalled, and the Tat team contacted BI for assistance with finishing their Bible. Confirming that they were willing to apply BI’s proven translation methods, even to completed portions of Scripture, Bibles International adopted the Muslim Tat New Testament project on July 21, 2022.

Just a few weeks later, in August 2022, I was at the Bibles International office in Michigan for some training. I had just joined the organization a few weeks prior to that, so you can only imagine my surprise when our chief language consultant asked me if I would like to work on the Muslim Tat project! My jaw dropped as I considered the opportunity God had given me and how God had orchestrated a project for me that would combine my skills for Bible translation with my passion for Muslim people to know the Lord! God is so good!

Once I am fully supported, I plan to work with the Muslim Tat translation team to provide consultant checking for their Bible. My ministry hours will be hybrid: sometimes I will work remotely at my home in South Carolina, sometimes work via Zoom, and sometimes work in person with the Tat team in Eurasia. I'm so thankful for the three opportunities I've had while on deputation to visit the Tat team in person- twice in 2023 and once in 2024. I have been working with a mentor consultant from BI to help the team check Mark, 2 John, and John. I love working with the Tat and started learning the local language in Fall 2023 to be able to better interact with them on Zoom and in person!

I am so excited to be a part of the team who shares the Gospel with the Tat people through Bible translation in Eurasia, and I would love to have you be a part of that team too!
